The Van Don Industrial Cluster was established under Decision No. 610/QĐ-UBND issued by the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Committee on March 9, 2022, and was approved for a 1/500 scale detailed construction plan under Decision No. 1558/QĐ-UBND issued by the Vân Đồn District People’s Committee on March 23, 2022.

I. Overview of Van Don industrial cluster

The investment of Van Don Industrial Cluster was funded by extra- budgetary resources totaling 486.3 billion VND, aiming to attract manufacturing companies. At the same time, Van Don Cluster also welcomes cottage industries that cause environmental pollution in residential areas or do not align with urban planning and need to be relocated.

II. Location of Van Don Industrial Cluster

The Van Don Industrial Cluster enjoys the advantages of being adjacent to the sea and having a transportation system connected to Provincial Road 334. According to the planning adjustment for the Van Don Economic Zone, the Trang Huong hamlet area in Doan Ket commune is planned for industrial development, which has a road connecting the industrial cluster to the Ha Long-Van Don expressway and Van Don airport.

Power supply system: Power supply capacity for industry: 350 kW/ha; for public areas: 150 kW/ha; for technical hubs: 150 kW/ha; road lighting: 12–15 kW/ha; park and green space lighting: 5 kW/ha.
Clean water supply system: capacity 1.200 m3/day and night
Wastewater treatment system: The entire stormwater drainage system of the Industrial Cluster will be collected into manholes and B600 and B800 drainage pipes along the internal roads and discharged through outlets.

Telecommunication system: The main cable line runs along the main road and the branch cables lead to switches integrated in cable cabinets with a service radius of approximately 500 meters, serving between 500 and 2,000 people.
